High Frequency Words
We will be working on spelling the First 300 High Frequency words with a spelling test each Friday. During the week please practice reading, writing and nicely printing these words. The words this week are:
Phonics: EW. UI, UE
We have learned that OO spells the long u sounds. But there are three other ways to spell this long sound
- EW - comes at the end of a word (chew)
- UI - comes in the middle of words (suit, juice)
- UE - comes in the the end of words (blue)
We also made tissUE boxes to help us remember this phonics pattern

- This is a strategy that students learned in grade 1 and it would be a great thing to practice as fast facts at home
